Heritage Players Has A Great Play For The Spring 2011
Hi, Everyone!
Here’s an update on what’s happening with the Drama Dept. at Heritage Church of God! We had many blessings with the Easter program! There were so many folks involved in the production that have never worked on a theater piece, before…..we hope they had fun and will join us, again, on future projects! The team came up with some great ideas on how to improve and expand the program for next year! God’s Hand was on this project from the beginning, and it is our prayer that seeds of faith were planted.
What’s next? A play for the Spring titled, “A Rock and A Hard Place”. It’s a contemporary play about Christ, as seen through the eyes of Simon Peter. This piece was chosen because it illustrates how Christ transforms us. How wonderful to know that we can approach the throne, broken and sinful, and that His love and guidance can transform us to become “…good and faithful servants….”!
We have had several meetings about the Spring play, and the team is excited to get this production rolling!
Rehearsals will begin the late 2010 to early 2011. There are many roles to fill, most of them young men. So, if there are any young men that are interested in working on this, please let me know! No experience needed, just a willingness to have fun while learning about Christ!
We continue to work, prayerfully, to use theater as a medium to strengthen those who know Christ, and to invite those that don’t Him, to learn more!
God bless you, and thank you, for all your support of this work!
