Tuesday, February 15, 2011, Day 31
“…I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you…” Isaiah 44:22
Satan is the Great Deceiver and there was a time in my life when Satan had convinced me that God’s forgiveness was not for me. Our God is so merciful! He led me to Heritage, as only He can, and to a Bible class wherein His Word, His love, and His TRUTH proved more powerful than Satan’s lies. God allowed me to return to Him and my soul rejoices in His mercy. It is by God’s grace that I serve as Director of Drama Ministry at Heritage Church of God. It is my joy to find scripts that encourage those that know Christ to strengthen their relationship with Him while inviting those that don’t know Him to seek Him. There is a special bond created between brothers and sisters in Christ – together we reinforce this bond when we study His Word, when we worship, when we encourage each other in times of need and when we work and play. Each theatrical production has provided such an opportunity with those that serve onstage as well as those serving “behind the scenes.” It is especially fulfilling as we search God’s Word, learning of His will in our lives while acquiring knowledge to interpret each script. Led by their love for the Lord and serving with joy, our church family at Heritage has been a blessing in so many ways to so many people. The Lord has blessed me by allowing me to return to Him and by placing me here to worship and serve with you, my most precious brothers and sisters in Christ. So, let us celebrate Jubilee together and may our hearts be made glad with the knowledge that Christ, our Redeemer, lives and He has “…swept away (y)our offenses like a cloud….”
