Music & Worship

Music has always been an integral part of the Anderson Church of God. The COG has birthed many well-loved and well-known singers and song-writers, including Sandy Patti and the Gaithers.

Heritage continues in the same heritage as her parent church with large number of very talented and inspired members who share their gifts with the congregation each and every Sunday. We are made to worship our Lord and doing so with music is one of the most joyous privileges we, His children, have. Our Sunday morning services include a variety of praise, including traditional, beloved hymns combined with more contemporary praise and worship choruses. The church is filled with wonderful sounds from pianos, keyboards, guitars, drums, and horns. They combine with voices to send a beautiful melody directly from our hearts to the heart of God.

Opportunities to serve:

Children's Choir
Children's Hand Bells
The congregation is privileged to hear the sweet voices of our young members occasionally during the Sunday morning service. They also share their hand bell talents as well.

Adult Choir
Adult Hand Bells
An adult choir sings occasionally on Sunday mornings and the Adult Hand Bells play for the service too. Choir meets for practice Sundays at 5:00pm ~ Hand bells meet Thursdays at 7:00 pm.

Worship Team(s)
A small number of voices help lead the praise and worship portion of the Sunday morning service. A piano, keyboards, guitars, a bass, and drums join the celebration of worship and praise to our God.

Special Music
Each Sunday, one, two or more folks share the gift of song in their heart with the congregation.

Drama
The adult drama team produces skits and plays periodically for the congregation. Our youth participates in drama as well.
