What is Scrip?

Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase Scrip, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use Scrip to purchase everyday items like groceries, clothing, toys, gasoline and other essentials. With every purchase, you earn revenue for our church.

How does purchasing Scrip generate revenue?

The Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches and schools to purchase large amounts of Scrip from grocery stores, department stores and other retailers. Because the Scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. We buy the Scrip from the Scrip Center at the discount, and re-sell the certificates to you at full face value. The difference- from 2% to 15% or more- is our church's revenue.

Shopping Cart Fundraising!

Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don't have to sell anything. We produce revenue by making regular household purchases we make everyday anyway. Simply by planning the bulk of your week's purchases ahead of time and exchanging cash for certificates from the fundraiser, you help produce a significant revenue for our programs. That's all there is to it!
